Il Sentiero dei limoni

The Lemon Path is one of the most fascinating trails on the Amalfi Coast — a scenic walk connecting the villages of Maiori and Minori through ancient lemon terraces, historic stairways, and breathtaking sea views.

Created centuries ago as a route linking the two towns, the path was once used by the “Formichelle,” the women who carried heavy baskets of lemons along the coastal mule tracks. Even today, the trail preserves the authentic charm of Amalfi’s rural traditions and offers visitors the chance to immerse themselves in the scents of the famous “Sfusato Amalfitano,” the local IGP-certified lemon.

The hike is considered easy to moderately easy and is also suitable for families and non-experienced walkers.

Depending on the chosen route, the trail is between 2.5 and 3 km long, with an average duration of about 3 hours. Along the way, you will encounter stairways, stone-paved alleys, lemon pergolas, and small rural villages such as Torre, which offers spectacular views over the coastline.
